Colors always give life to the mood of a piece of art. Your selection of colors are very well done; this piece just brims over with a foreboding doom soon to happen.
I find only two things that could be changed for the better. The first is the woman's position. It would look better if she were not centered, but a bit more to the left. The second thing is her height. Just compare the railing to how tall she is, and you'll see that it only comes up to her knee at most. Not a very protective railing for an oncoming storm. Not noticeable at first, but after gazing at it, you can't miss it.
Anyhow, nice touch with the blowing leaves and cloudy background. Keep up the fine work!
Ahh storm, I love that raging background. I can identify to this. The qoute by Friedrich Nietzche hit me as soon as I saw this image. "That which does not kill us, makes us stronger" After hardship comes positive changes.Excellent job!
